Urban League of The River Valley YP

The Urban League of Greater Columbus has been in the community of Columbus, GA since 1971. The Young Professional Chapter (ULGCYP) has 2 programs that require community funding.

The Summer Youth Employment and Job Readiness Program serves high school students, ages 16 to 18, and college students, ages 18 to 24. Last year, the Urban League received 150 applications. With new funding the Urban League hopes to expand the program summer 2021.

The College Tour is a opportunity for students to visit several schools, discuss interest with mentors, and choose a field of study. In partnership with the Columbus chapter of the Morehouse Alumni Association, the ULGCYP will fulfill its mission to educate the youth and expose under-served students to higher education.
