This Giving Tuesday, help us open doors of opportunity for 3rd graders in need.

At Catholic Charities Atlanta, our Afterschool Programs help children and youth in need succeed and thrive. By strengthening both the child and the family, we create pathways out of poverty and build brighter futures across the Atlanta area.

This year, we are focusing on a milestone that changes everything: third grade.

Research shows that children who are not reading on grade level by third grade are four times more likely to drop out of high school than their peers. When a child reaches this critical point with confidence and support, everything shifts. 

Education becomes a doorway to possibility instead of a barrier to overcome.

It costs just $1,900 a year to provide one child with the essentials: academic support, nutritious snacks, emotional wellness, mentorship, and a safe, structured environment that allows parents to work with peace of mind.

This Giving Tuesday, our goal is to raise $66,500 to fully fund 35 children in our afterschool program, ensuring each one has what they need to learn, grow, and thrive.

Throughout our 65 year history, Catholic Charities Atlanta has served the poor and vulnerable on behalf of the Atlanta Catholic community.
