Cartersville City Ballet Inc

The Cartersville School of Ballet, Ltd. is the official school of the Cartersville City Ballet. The company is a dynamic, versatile group of dancers who study at the Cartersville School of Ballet, Ltd.

The company consists of seven levels - the Youth Ensemble, Junior Apprentice Company, Junior Company, Senior Company, Pre-Professional Apprentice Company, Pre-Professional Company and Professional Ensemble. Auditions are held each spring at the studio. Dancers are selected on the basis of skill and a high degree of motivation and self-discipline. 

Involvement in the Cartersville City Ballet requires additional rehearsal time outside of class. Members study a mix of ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary and hip hop dancing with a focus on cultivating strong technique and performance skills. Dancers take part in local festivals, events and community celebrations. Annually, the company presents the holiday classic “The Nutcracker.” The company also hosts "A Dance Kaleidoscope", a show that includes a kaleidoscope of performing arts pieces and features the Cartersville City Ballet as well as guest companies from the North Georgia area and beyond.

The Cartersville City Ballet is a non-profit corporation supported financially by contributions, membership dues and ticket sales.
