Butts County Humane Society Inc

We formed the Butts County Humane Society in 2014, with volunteer board members, dedicated to rescue, adoption & spay/neuter efforts.  These efforts along with efforts from staff at Butts County Animal Control have helped lower euthanasia rates considerably in our county.   We rely on donations and grants and community support, for which we are eternally grateful.   We do not have a facility of our own but work closely with Butts County Animal Control & other rescue groups to help place dogs into appropriate families.  From Mutts to purebreds, they all just want to have a family. We strive to spay or neuter all dogs before they leave the shelter, pay for any vet needs, assure they are up to date on all vaccinations, and are on heart worm preventative before they are adopted. This  is a 24/7  labor of love and we thank you for your support.  We couldn’t function without our wonderful volunteers, donors and fosters
