Berean Outreach Ministry

We are working to raise funds for our “Need More Food Campaign,” in the amount of $18,000.00 by the end of 2023.  We are thankful  for the continued community partnerships and the opportunity to galvanize financial support for combating hunger in our community.  

The Berean Outreach Ministry Inc. mission is to deliver relevant support services to underserved communities by providing healthy food, clothing, education, employment, and health resources in an effort to build self-sustaining communities.  We operate our outreach program and food pantry weekly on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and the 1st Saturday of each month.  We provide an average of 40 hours of access to food and services monthly.  We also operate our "Need More Food Campaign," during exceptionally heightened food insecurity in our, community.  We intentionally provide more food with the help of grants through this campaign. We are currently serving an average of 650 households weekly with proteins, dairy products, frozen meats and vegetables, a bag of shelf stable food, a snack bag and full access to an average of 8,000lbs of fresh produce. We also provide the other impactful services listed above through collaboration with community partners such as; Atlanta Community Food Bank, Amazon, Integrity Transformations, Anthem, Morehouse Masters of Public Health Program, Atlanta Recovery Center, Amazon, Berean SDA Church, and Georgia State University. 

Currently, the level of food insecurity is high as a result of the existence of underserved communities with families who struggle from week to week to put food on the table and meet their basic needs.   Inflation is also creating heightened food insecurity due to high prices for groceries and basic necessities.  One dollar now provides food for up to 3 meals for a family.  Your generous support toward our goal of $18,000 will allow us to provide 6,000 additional meals to our neighbors; to include our Senior Disability delivery program.  In partnership with Amazon 70 pounds of food is delivered to disabled Seniors.
