BEE Club Inc.
BEE Club Inc. Becoming Empowered through Education is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based out of Atlanta, which is an after-school peer leadership group for teen girls. The organization was founded in 2013 with 100 girls at Westlake High School in Fulton County. Today, the organization has welcomed over 300 girls in Atlanta and is now expanding its program to Athens-Clarke County.
Mission and Vision
BEE Club Inc. provides youth girls with the tools and resources to become organizational leaders in their schools and communities. The organization offers a community catalyst after-school program that connects high school girls with resources for personal and professional advancement. With the help of school staff, community neighbors, and organizations, BEE Club organizes a brave space for teen girls to implement and engage in peer-led meetings, workshops, service projects, and events that collectively work to further empower women and girls in their communities.
BEE Club aims to inspire the personal and professional development of female-identified students by teaching life-skills through leadership and community engagement. Through peer mentoring, life-skills learning, youth advocacy, and community collaboration, BEE Club works to further empower teen girls to become self-defined individuals, who independently navigate life both inside and outside of the classroom.
