Atlantic Area Court Appointed Special Advocate Inc

A nonprofit organization

Atlantic Area Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), Inc. was founded in 1999 in Liberty County, Georgia. In 2001, the agency was incorporated and expanded our service areas to cover the entire Atlantic Judicial Circuit (Liberty, Long, Bryan, McIntosh, Evans and Tattnall counties).

Our primary mission and goal is to recruit, train and retain adult volunteers who have an interest and desire to advocate for what is in the best interest of a child who have been abused and/or neglected and placed in the foster care system. Our CASA Volunteers conduct case management work while speaking up for the rights of that child while they are in foster care! Our Volunteers are sworn in by a Juvenile Judge as an Officer of the Court and is highly respected in the community.

To become a CASA Volunteer, you must be at least 21 years old, complete a criminal background, sex-offender screening, CPS screening and complete 40 hours of curriculum based training along with 10 hours of court observation.
