Atlanta Flute Club

A nonprofit organization

A pillar of the national flute community since it was established in 1997, the AFC hosts annual fairs, composer workshops, masterclasses, All-State Workshops, flute choir reading sessions, pedagogy round table discussions, gala recitals, wellness workshops, and competitions.

Our website documents our rich history of programming and pedagogical outreach and includes access to our free, online newsletters.

We have hosted the world’s most well known and respected flutists, among them, Valerie Coleman (2024), Carol Wincenc (2021), Göran Marcusson (2019), and Jasmine Choi (2015). Our annual fair attracts a diverse group of musicians because of the broad programming options, which include opportunities for middle and high school students, collegiate students, amateur flutists, young professionals, seasoned studio teachers, competition finalists, professional soloists, and orchestral flutists.

With a mission to “promote, educate, and encourage flutists to be better musicians”, the Atlanta Flute Club pledges to use all funds raised by the GA Gives campaign for community events.

We are dedicated to growth and innovation in our programming which is only possible with your help!
