The ArtsXchange is grateful to have such a powerful creative space to share with the community.

On #GIVINGTUESDAY we ask you to join us in saying Yes to the Arts! ✨

Yes, let’s unite for change!

We are excited to support another 41 years of creatively impacting our community. Every day, we ask ourselves, "How can we continue to amplify our mission?"

Our goal is to support established artists while nurturing the talents of emerging artists. We welcome collaborations with other organizations to teach, address challenging social issues, and build bridges of understanding. We actively seek to engage with youth, families, and seniors in meaningful and enriching ways. Our programs, exhibits, and workshops are of high quality and open to everyone at no cost.

This is a crucial time in our world. The Artsxchange is a place that promotes reflection and endless possibilities.

We depend on the generosity of people like you to support our mission with a donation today. Your contribution demonstrates your belief in our vision of strengthening the community through the arts.

We have so much to look forward to in 2025 as we celebrate our 41st year. Please donate and join us on our journey to make the world a more beautiful place.

OUR MISSION

The Southeast Community Cultural Center, Inc.,   d/b/a ArtsXchange, aims to empower individuals and communities through the transformative power of the arts. The organization provides access to arts education, fosters cultural exchange, and creates opportunities for local artists, partners with schools and social impact organizations, and residents to engage in creative expression. We support emerging visual and performing artists through mentorship programs and exhibition opportunities.

ArtsXchange celebrates and preserves cultural diversity and promotes inclusivity. Our initiatives focus on opportunities for creative expression and professional development for marginalized artists and expanding community access to arts regardless of income, geography, or other barriers.

 Our art is our activism.

The Southeast Community Cultural Center (SECCC) opened its first facility, The Arts Exchange, in 1984 in Atlanta’s Grant Park. From its inception, the SECCC has been a hub for artists across disciplines and a welcoming space for the community to experience the arts. The organization’s mission is to provide a center for creativity accessible to all, amplifying underrepresented voices and fostering artistic growth and appreciation.

In 2017, the SECCC relocated to East Point, rebranding as ArtsXchange and moving into a facility to enhance accessibility and creativity. Since its reopening in 2018, ArtsXchange has continued its legacy as a diverse, artist-run organization offering visual arts, performance, and educational programs. Partnerships with groups like CORE, Morehouse School of Medicine, and local artists have expanded its reach, promoting health equity, sustainability, and creative placemaking.

Programs such as the Jack Sinclair Gallery exhibitions, the Literature and Literacy Program, and the Studio Artists Program provide resources and platforms for emerging and established artists. ArtsXchange also fosters family and youth engagement through STEAM-based arts education, community gardening initiatives, and performance arts, ensuring a vibrant, inclusive environment for learning and artistic expression.

As ArtsXchange enters its 41st year, it remains dedicated to celebrating art, inspiring creativity, and connecting communities. By supporting artists and engaging with diverse audiences, the SECCC continues to honor its founding vision while adapting to contemporary needs.
