ACES Youth Home

ACES Youth Home provides temporary and long-term residential placement and care for youths, both boys and girls, ages 11-18.  We provide a safe, secure, and nurturing home for youths who have been victims or abuse or neglect.  We help children discover their strengths and learn to cope with the crises in their lives.  We strive to recognize the value and dignity of each individual we serve.

ACES Youth Home is a nonprofit organization that relies significantly on community contributions and financial donations in order to provide services and shelter to abused and neglected youths in our area.  While we receive a per diem reimbursement from the State of Georgia for each of our residents, approximately 50% of our funding comes from individuals, local charities, businesses, and companies within our community.

The Need for ACES Youth Home:

Each year in Georgia, thousands of children are placed in foster care.  We believe that all children deserve to be cared for in a safe, loving, and nurturing environment where they can grow into responsible and successful young adults.

When DFCS determines it is not safe for a child to remain in the home of his or her caregiver, the child is placed in foster care. Foster care is intended to be a temporary home away from home while the agency works with the child’s family to eliminate or minimize the safety issues that caused agency involvement.

Within our local community and our region in North Georgia, the need for foster care is great, especially for youths age 11-18.  ACES Youth Home was built by the community to serve our community and the surrounding areas.  It is our hope and desire that we can help youths by providing a warm, nurturing environment that all children deserve.

–Liquid laundry detergent

–Paper towels, toilet paper, paper plates

–Twin Size Sheets, comforters (must be new)

–Bath towels and wash cloths (must be new)

–Pillows (for sleep)
