Antioch Urban Ministries, Incorporated (AUMI)is a non-profit, 501c3, agency that provides housing/social services to persons who are living with HIV/AIDS, substance abuse recovery services to men and women as well as those who are homeless/ low income, mentoring services to at-risk youth ages 7-17 and social services to seniors 55+.  AUMI provides essential services to families through our food and clothing bank which includes those affected by the COVID-19 virus within and outside the Metropolitan Atlanta area and Fulton County. 

Ruth’s Place
A transitional housing facility for women in recovery, Ruth’s Place provides housing, and meals; as well as A focus on coming into a personal relationship with themselves while participating in support groups, life skills training, community service through the AUMI Food Bank, financial literacy and other spiritual enrichment opportunities. After residency, they are prepared to re-enter the workforce, reconnect with their families and begin a productive lifestyle free from substance abuse based on the skills sets provided during their tenure within the program. Luke’s Place
A 10-bed Christian substance abuse recovery home, Luke’s Place provides housing, meals, support groups, spiritual enrichment opportunities, and other supportive services for men in need of recovery. These life skill experiences, coupled with work therapy, prepare participants for re-entry into the workplace, reconnect with their families, and help to begin a productive lifestyle free from substance abuse based on the skills sets provided during their time within the program. Malachi Ministry

A youth-at-risk program that provides life-skills training for youth ages 7-17 years of age. Malachi specifically serves young men within the 5th Ward area. This area includes English Avenue, Joseph E. Boone Boulevard, and Hollowell Parkway. The program offers a rewarding path to effective and manageable service to children at risk. Currently serving 45 participants

Matthew’s Place
A program that provides housing and supportive services for persons living with HIV and/or AIDS, Matthew’s Place participants enjoy comfortable living in a single room occupancy environment and have the benefit of supportive services offered by AUMI. Through a strong partnership and funding from the City of Atlanta, Matthew’s Place continues to transform the lives of disenfranchised people.

SOS (Serving Our Seniors)
A ministry that seeks to connect seniors, 55 and older, to vital community services that can help them maintain their independence in a healthy home environment. S.O.S. documents each home visit through individual charting, as well as tracking scheduled appointments and other services. The ministry conducts the following:
• visits to seniors who are recuperating at home, but unable to independently take care of their daily needs
• meet with family members (where applicable) to provide an explanation of services offered to family members and create a relationship with them to show trustworthiness
• assist with transportation to doctor’s appointment if they are mobile
• assist with prescription pick up and other personal items needed
• assist in making sure each client has food to prepare light meals in the home
• assist with personal hygiene

AUMI Food Bank

A program where individuals within the Atlanta Metropolitan Area are provided food on weekly basis. Currently, we provide food for more than 865 points of contact per week, 100 seniors on a monthly basis, and distribute 10,000 lbs of produce on a weekly basis for people over 55. In addition to providing for those in need within our community, we continue to provide basic essentials such as clothing and other household goods to members of the community on a weekly basis as well beginning in 2022.
