Abby’s Angels Foundation was created to honor and share the giving heart and energetic life of Abby Bacho. Abby earned her angel wings Christmas Day 2012 from injuries sustained in a car wreck involving Abby’s family caused by a distracted teen driver. She gave life through organ donation December 25, 2012 to 4 people. Abby’s smile and genuine care of others inspire and give life to the mission and work of Abby’s Angels Foundation. Her love of new school supplies and love of shopping are why 51 Abby’s Closets are in schools providing new school supplies to underprivileged students spanning grades from K-12. To prevent further needless tragedies due to car wrecks, AAF provides funding and sponsors the TVOC accident avoidance driving course in Coweta County monthly. In the spring, 5 $1000 college scholarships are awarded to graduating seniors who have completed the TVOC driving course and pledge to share safe driving awareness. Supporting the grieving children/teens in our community, AAF partners with Kate’s Club providing free grief services with meetings both in person and virtually each month. AAF also promotes and shares information supporting the selfless gift of organ donation. Because of the support received from our generous donors and friends of Abby’s Angels Foundation, this work flourishes and continues Abby’s life and legacy each and every day.
