A Better Glynn Inc

A Better Glynn is a non-profit organization that exists to identify, educate, and equip individuals to be equity-driven decision-makers through civic engagement, policy advocacy, and leadership development.

As part of our leadership development efforts, we have launched The Brunswick Initiative--an initiative that sets out to educate and retain young talent in our city for future leadership opportunities.

Why is this important? Because young professionals tend to leave our community and never come back. We lack ways to fund, educate, and retain future talent for civic leadership. Even worse, the leadership in Glynn County lacks transparency, accountability, and a pipeline of mentors to develop future generations. Unless something changes, the systemic problems plaguing Glynn County will never cease.

We are looking to change that trend by identifying young emerging leaders at local high schools to remove barriers to education and provide opportunities to develop as leaders. We will fund, educate, and retain emerging leaders to improve the quality of life in Glynn County for everyone. In addition, we will give Glynn County alumni who are no longer local the opportunity to invest in their community without needing to uproot their lives.
Imagine a Brunswick filled with leaders who work hard not to get re-elected or solely for profit but because they want to make their home a better place for everyone.

Join us and help provide students the opportunity to pursue a career of their choice without financial and educational barriers. Our Justice Journey initiative sets out to award full scholarships to HBCUs for select students who have gone through our leadership and justice curriculum. The scholarships include a requirement that the students return to Brunswick to work with one of our several partner organizations and bring their unique skillset back home to give back to the community.
