The mission of 3Keys is to develop and manage affordable permanent housing with on-site supportive services for adults facing the challenges of mental illness and homelessness.

We believe there are three keys to enabling individuals experiencing homelessness and mental illness to live with purpose and dignity:

Housing: A home of their own that is permanent and stable.

Help: Supportive services to help residents live independently.

Hope: An environment that enhances the opportunity for a better life.

3Keys, Inc. (formerly Project Interconnections, Inc.) is a 501(C) 3 nonprofit corporation that was established in the city of Atlanta, Georgia, in 1988. As a result of a mother’s desire to provide housing and supportive services to help her son live with his mental illness, without living his life on the streets, private citizens and former First Lady Rosalynn Carter appealed to top civic and business leaders whose lives and loved ones were affected by mental illness, launching Project Interconnections, Inc. Since our founding with a single housing program of 48 units, 3Keys has since expanded to a nationally-recognized nonprofit provider of permanent supportive housing with the capacity to provide housing to 477 individuals at any given time.
