Mission:
It is our mission 1) to disrupt generational poverty and empower families to achieve economic mobility and 2) to provide resources towards helping families develop the tools to face daily challenges and obtain the results they need throughout their lives.
Vision:
It is our vision to improve the quality of life in the community at large through an active, effective, credible social and family support network.
We have created a one-stop-shop resources complex with local, state and national government and social service organizations with a focus on stability, self-sufficiency, and economic mobility through five overlapping lenses: family stability, emotional well-being, educational achievement, financial stability, and employment.
Our Impact:
In 2020, we served 3,092 individuals. Going forward, we are striving to increase our involvement in workforce development and emergency housing response in the metro-Atlanta area. We provided more than $1 million in direct assistance related to rental and utility relief-- keeping dozens of families in their homes over the past year. We believe that lasting, sustainable anti-poverty work needs to address professional development and skills-based learning as well as provide direct assistance. We are currently developing partnerships with IT and technology firms in the metro-Atlanta area to create a new workforce development program in which we will certify low-income and unemployed individuals with in-demand skills that will place them in high-paying careers. Relatedly, we seek to expand our curriculum of courses that can be offered to clients and to deliver these courses digitally, so that they can reach everyone in the community who could benefit. Join us in serving the community and ending generational poverty!
