Are you ready to paddle the distance of the great Nantahala River?

The Kayaking Challenge is to paddle 48 miles - the length of the Nantahala, over one month!

Here's how it works: participants pledge to kayak 48 miles throughout the month, all while raising funds to support Catalyst Sports' mission of promoting accessibility and inclusivity in outdoor adventures for individuals with physical disabilities.

Whether you're an avid kayaker looking for a new challenge or someone passionate about supporting a worthy cause, Challenge For Access is the perfect opportunity to combine your love for kayaking with making a positive impact in your community.

NEXT STEPS

1. In the picture above, select the button that says "Register" 

2. Follow the instructions to register on Eventbrite and pay the $25 fee

3. You will be automatically directed back to MightyCause, where you will input your Eventbrite registration number (check your email for confirmation!)

4. Decide if you want to create a team with family and friends or if you want to just challenge yourself then select the appropriate button.

5. Get Creative! Throw some pictures in there and tell everyone why you are doing this! Be sure to click SAVE on all the different sections that you edit. 

6. If you are unsure what needs to be filled out, you will see a YELLOW ribbon across the top that says "This page is not live. Complete required steps to publish. See Requirements". Click on the words "See Requirements" to help you identify what needs to be completed.

7. Once you are done the yellow ribbon will turn blue and you will be ready to share. There is a toggle switch on the top right that will allow you to go from edit mode to live mode. Once you switch to live mode it will give you the option to share your page. 

8. At the start of the month that you choose you may begin your challenge. Record the challenges with Strava (a free app) or an app of your choice. You can also use our custom tracking sheet:

7. Share your page and make personal requests for support. People typically don't give if you don't ask. We find that most times people are more than willing to support friends and family.

8. At the end of the month, submit your tracking sheet and celebrate your success!
