The Vashti Center (Est. 1903) provides residential and community mental health services for at-risk youth ranging from eight to seventeen years of age. Many of our youth come to our Residential Care Program from the Division of Children and Family Services (DFCS) and the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ).
Whether the struggle is drug addiction, depression, behavior issues, fallout from divorce, a loss of a loved one, or breaking the cylce of abuse - Vashti is a place in which families can turn. Many lives are transformed because of the outstanding counseling and spiritual assistance provided by our caring team of childcare workers, experienced therapists, trained mentors, resident chaplain and special school resources. And thanks to the generosity of the community we have been able to provide these services for more than one hundred years.
We provide care via our Residential Care Facility located in Thomasville, GA, with a satellite location in Bainbridge, GA. We believe in servicing the community at large so the Vashti Center offers Community Mental Health Programs to Thomas, Brooks, Colquitt, Decauter, Grady, and Mitchell counties.
