About The Methodist Home for Children and Youth
The Methodist Home for Children and Youth is addressing the needs of at-risk youth throughout Georgia each and every day. We not only provide the basics of food, clothing and shelter, but we give our young people safe and loving homes, therapeutic interventions, and programs and resources to meet their physical, emotional, spiritual, social, and educational needs. We give them a FUTURE! The mission of The Methodist Home is to be a model organization that restores childhoods, strengthens families, and culitivates a people-building organization. What originated as a widow and orphans home in the 1800's has evolved to become one of Georgia's premier residential facilities for young people in need serving hundreds of children and families annually.
When children come into our care, they typically come to us having suffered severe physical, emotional, and/or sexual abuse. Their backgrounds are devastating, but our goal is to restore those childhoods and help them to overcome their tragic pasts and move toward a healthy future. Therapy and residential care equips abused children with the tools to make choices that lead to a better future.
How You Can Help
We have an ambitious goal this year! We want to raise $40,000 in 24 hours! Impossible? Maybe, but we are stepping out in faith knowing our children are worth it!
