Trinity Community Ministries
Trinity Community Ministries is a beautiful place; a center of redemptive cause and purpose in the middle of Atlanta’s historic Sweet Auburn district. Also beautiful is the fact that despite poverty, poor development, and changes in social and economic structure, the pursuit of justice, empowerment, and reconciliation is still taking place amidst this urban area. Trinity Community Ministries is home to two incredible programs that are making a huge impact in Atlanta.
The Trinity House-Big Bethel Program
is a successful, highly structured 36-bed residential transitional program dedicated to providing a framework that enables homeless men, many of whom are struggling with substance abuse, to transform their lives. The program’s outcome objectives are for residents to remain drug-free, gain and maintain employment, and independent living. Residents are encouraged to complete the program in 12 months. Last year, 35 homeless men positively transitioned from the program, has remained clean and sober with gainful employment, and are now self-sustaining members of society!
The Trinity Living Permanent Supportive Housing Program
(“Trinity Living”) was recently established to distinctly meet the needs of Veteran and disabled men who have been determined to be chronically homeless. The program serves men aged 30 and over who have been diagnosed with disabilities, including mental illness. This program provides a structure that counteracts the disruptions of both homelessness and disability through the assurance of permanent housing and appropriate supportive services. The overall goal is to empower and enable residents to move into independent living.
Trinity Community Ministries needs your immediate financial generosity to make a positive, meaningful impact in helping us sustain our transformative programs.
