We are a real organization…
Real IMPACT is an educational non-profit 501(c)3 organization designed to expose girls to (STEM) science, technology, engineering, and math education and careers while teaching life skills along the way. Uniquely, Real IMPACT is the only organization in the Central Georgia region that offers a year-round STEM Education Program for Girls, allowing them to remain engaged in STEM education during out-of-school time with other like-minded girls. Real IMPACT STEM Program for Girls includes a monthly STEMtastic Saturday program, an all-day “Girls will be Women in STEAM” conference, a four-week Girl Power STEM Camp, an after-school First Lego League Robotics Team and Real Girls Code Club. Since 2013, Real IMPACT has exposed over 1,500 girls to STEM education and careers and we need your help to continue to close the gender gap in STEM!
We identify real issues….
Currently, women represent only 24% of the STEM workforce in the United States. The latter is true despite the fact that women in STEM jobs earn 33 % more than those in non-STEM occupations and experience a smaller wage gap relative to men. Science and math tend to be the areas of most difficulty in standardized test. Many students are negative toward the areas of STEM because they are not always able to see the relevance in everyday life. Real IMPACT’s heartbeat is investing in a girl ultimately making her a future leader in her community and beyond.
We formulate real solutions….
By introducing girls to STEM, we open their minds to a wider range of careers choices that can lead them to increase in economic growth, thereby reducing the cycle of poverty in future generations. By partnering with us to continue making a #realimpact in the lives of our youth, you will be supporting a national educational initiative to get more girls involved in STEM education and careers. Our program is carried with much thought and care. Our curriculum is tailored for 3rd
grades and 6th
grade and is designed to align with Georgia standards. We understand that fun, relevant, and applicable activities are the key to maintaining the attention of our children. Therefore in our programs, girls will have an experience that will inspire them to be more confident about their place in the growing world of STEM.
We make a real impact….
The acronym I.M.P.A.C.T stands for I
hanging the T
imes. Within our community, our goal is to increase the percentage of girls actively pursuing a pathway into a STEM related field. We also aim to increase test scores and standardized test results in STEM areas of learning. Real I.M.P.A.C.T further engages to get the community involved by collaborating with other organizations in order to maximize our impact on our current efforts to assist the youth in Central Georgia.
We need real help….
In order to maintain our mission and provide a continuous flow of extracurricular STEM based activities, our organization is reaching out to the community to gain assistance. By supporting us, your financial donation will help purchase necessary equipment to assist girls engineer a model car, develop an app, create their own website, or chemically engineer their own lip gloss and hair spray. In addition, you will help Real I.M.P.A.C.T provide underrepresented minorities the opportunities in STEM not often afforded to them if it were not for your support. Today is a significant giving day because it’s GA Gives Day, but your giving, funds programs for many days to come.
Thank You for SUPPORTING and making a Real I.M.P.A.C.T!
