I am a fundraiser for

Enchanted Closet, Inc.

Raised: $50Remaining: $379

Greetings family & friends,

I am pledging to make a difference in others' lives this year. One of my favorite service-oriented quotes is, "Life's most persistent and urgent question is, what are you doing for others?" -Dr. Martin Luther King

My birthday is right around the corner, April 29th, and I am donating it to a cause larger than myself. I want to be a positive influence by serving the needs of high school girls from low-income families in Metro Atlanta through the Enchanted Closet organization. My birthday fundraiser, BrittWish, aims to raise funds for Enchanted Closet.

Enchanted Closet, Inc. began as a service project to provide prom dresses to girls in metro-Atlanta that may not have otherwise had the opportunity to experience the joy of attending one of the most memorable events in a teenager’s life. With the tremendous support and overwhelming response of citizens and businesses in Atlanta, the Enchanted Closet was incorporated in 2003, and has grown into a full blown non-profit service organization that takes a holistic approach to empowering girls. The Enchanted Closet’s purpose is to cultivate the self-awareness, self-esteem, and self-sufficiency of girls.

Growing up in a rural area, I understand the needs for underserved communities. I gained a deeper perspective in my property management career serving the needs of low-income housing families.
It is my wish to pioneer a non-profit project and organization similar to Enchanted Closet in my homeplace, Burke County, Georgia.

To put our donations into measurebale terms, a $10 donation enables the organization to engage in self-esteem building and mentoring for girls. A dollar-for-dollar donation and its impact goes up from there. I am stepping up to the challenge. Please help me reach my goal of $429 (I'll round up to an even dollar amount).

All proceeds go to Enchanted Closets, Inc. All donations are tax-deductible.
