The Alma G. Davis Foundation was founded in 2005 and is headquartered in Atlanta, GA. Founded by Alma G. Davis as a result of her own personal trials and triumphs with domestic violence, the foundation strives to ensure that women and young girls break the vicious cycle of abuse that is constantly on the rise.
“Having received my own 1st set of black eyes at the tender age of 14, I felt it was only right to reach back and grab those that are pushing their way forward”, says Davis.  Now a successful and respected business woman and community leader, Davis has made it her passion and privilege to uplift women and teens that are survivors.

The Alma G. Davis Foundation supports shelters and works with individual victims of domestic violence in order to help them move toward economic and self-sufficiency by providing:
– social services (such as advocacy, counseling, legal assistance, safety planning, etc.)
– training in pre-employment and work maturity skills (such as resume writing, interviewing, hygiene and
– education and training in S.T.E.M. related disciplines
– job placement
– financial literacy

Dinner for Divas – A multi-city, red carpet gala, honoring women and teenage girls (13+) that are survivors of domestic violence and child sex trafficking, and are currently residing in or transitioning from battered women’s shelters. By honoring one-hundred-fifty (150) survivors in each respective city where the galas are held, Dinner for Divas not only increases awareness and support to the plight of abused women and teenage girls, but helps raise funds for the shelters that attend.
