Be a Champion for Children!

The mission of the DeKalb County Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Program is to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children who are under the protection of the juvenile court.  DeKalb County CASA accomplishes this mission by training and supporting citizen volunteers who serve as advocates for individual children.

DeKalb County CASA iS a non-profit child welfare agency that recruits, trains, screens, and supervises volunteers who advocate on behalf of abused and neglected children. DeKalb County CASA volunteers are men and women just like you - of every race, ethnicity, religion, and professional background. We require they be at least 21 years old, commit to one year of service, complete 30 hours of training, complete 12 hours of annual continuing education training, and welcome those who are compassionate, objective, and have a sincere concern for the well being of children.

Our goal is for every child we represent to find a safe, permanent home where they can thrive.

DeKalb County CASA is asking you to "Make a  Difference" in the lives of children in foster care. Your support will assist DeKalb County CASA with recruiting and training new volunteer advocates, offering continued education opportunities for current volunteers, and to allow us to provide school supplies and holiday gifts to the children we serve.

Fiscal year 2015-2016 the DeKalb County CASA Program served 271children in the foster care system in DeKalb County.  Your support can help us serve many more.
