DeKalb County has the fourth largest population
of homeless individuals in Georgia.

But you can help! Schedule your donation for Giving Tuesday (11/27/2018) and your gift will be matched by an anonymous donor!

Decatur Cooperative Ministry (DCM) works to prevent and alleviate homelessness in DeKalb County.  Our mission is to help homeless and at-risk families settle into safe, stable homes and build healthy lives filled with peace, hope and opportunity.

We achieve the mission through the delivery of the following programs:

-Emergency Shelter (up to 90 days) for homeless families
-Transitional Housing (up to 6 months) for homeless families
-Permanent Supportive Housing for chronically homeless families whose head of household has a debilitating disability
-Rapid Re-Housing Services to reduce the amount of time a family spends homeless
-Homelessness Prevention includes financial assistance (e.g., rent and utility assistance), food relief, and financial management education

In 2017, DCM programs provided over 1,500 children and adults with the case management and supportive services they needed to overcome homelessness and achieve housing stability.

Your donations help sustain our services for families in crisis!

Your #GivingTuesday donation to help individuals and families facing homelessness will go even further!

An anonymous donor (a Decatur-area resident) has offered to match donations--up to $10,000!

Donations made by returning donations will be matched 1:1. Donations made by new donors will be matched 2:1.

Schedule your donation TODAY (put 11/27/2018 in the "Charge Date" field) and share with your friends and family!

Together, we will shine a light of hope on a family in need!

For nearly 50 years, DCM has provided real solutions to the very real problems faced by families struggling to meet their basic needs. You can be part of the solution. Make a donation today, or learn more at  Spread the Word. Shine the Light.

I have been around Hagar's House first doing homework help and more recently bringing dinners. This is a great and needed ministry.

Keep up the good work!
