Women have been entering ministry in large numbers. But, for women who aspire to leadership positions in church or parachurch organizations, the career path can be a lonely one with few role models or mentors.
While God’s call to the vocation of ordained ministry is rewarding, at times it can also be confusing, challenging, and daunting. When you take into consideration the demands women face as clergy, coupled with busy schedules, educational requirements, ministry preparation, financial obstacles, personal uncertainty, family obligations  and societal challenges – the need for role models with whom one can learn, laugh, cry and pray is growing. And, there is no one who can provide guidance and mentoring quite like another woman in ministry who has already traveled the same road.
The Women In Ministry Conference is passionate about the impact mentoring has on the lives of individuals, the communities they serve, and the organizations they transform. Since its inception in 2005, the Women In Ministry Conference has served more than 1,000 women who impact, inspire and transform the lives of so many people across the country.
The Women In Ministry Conference seeks to fulfill its mission by developing, coaching and mentoring Christian Women In Ministry for the 21st Century.
DEVELOPING - Women who experience successful ministry over a long period of time have learned that ministry does not have to be an isolated, difficult, or lonely journey. Connecting with others who can encourage and enrich their lives, ministry, and relationships is essential. Since there is a disparity in the number of outlets dedicated to developing women in ministry in this capacity, the conference strives to bridge a gap by providing relevant resources, training opportunities, and a ministry platform for women in ministry to network.

COACHING - Ministers take advantage of coaching to increase their effectiveness within the church and/or to enrich their leadership skills and personal lives. Coaching helps build skills for ministry and helps ministers obtain resources for handling congregational challenges. When ministers function more effectively - congregations benefit, healthier relationships are formed, and communities thrive.

MENTORING - People thrive best when we grow in the presence of those who have gone before us which is why mentoring is so important. However, the demands and busy schedules women face as clergy means that mentoring is not always at the top of the priority list. This is one of the many reasons why the Women In Ministry Conference exists. It prepares the way for those following the ministry path.

GET INVOLVED - The Women In Ministry Conference is operated solely by its volunteers. We rely on the generosity of individuals and companies. We invite your partnership and support. You can help us in any or all of the following ways.
