Communities In Schools of Marietta/Cobb County
Communities in Schools is the nation's largest dropout prevention organization. CIS works in public schools to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. CIS works predominantly in Title 1 schools where the majority of the school populations is considered low-income and qualify to receive free or reduced lunch. Children and families with needs are served by guiding the individuals to the community resources that are able to help them. Programming includes case management, tutoring, mentoring, early learning, and attedning a Reality U financial literacy class.
