The mission of Communities In Schools of Atlanta is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. By building strong relationships with students, parents and educators, we are able to identify students' challenges and then mobilize community support (individuals, businesses and civic groups) to help them overcome those obstacles.

The video below demonstrates the impact we've had on a few of the students we support.

We believe that when the needs of students are met, they can be free to learn and teachers can be free to teach. We also believe ALL kids can achieve with support, hard work and opportunities. As we help kids succeed in school and graduate, we are helping our communities grow stronger.

This year, we have full-time staff members serving more than 50 schools in Atlanta Public Schools, Clayton County Public Schools, DeKalb County Schools, and Fulton County Schools., impacting more than 41,000 students and family members:

We have fundrasier pages for each of our executive leadership teams, as well as board committees listed in the column to the right. If you know one of our board or staff members, just find their page and help him/her get bragging rights for raising the most funds in support of our amazing students and families in need.

With support from our dedicated board members, CIS of Atlanta is participating in the Max My Gift Challenge!

We're encouraging you to help promote GA Gives Day with your families, friends, colleagues and other contacts to give to CIS of Atlanta.
