The Augusta Technical College Foundation, Inc. was incorporated in 1987 by community leaders under the Georgia Non-Profit corporations Act ands is certified as a charitable organization. it has met the standards requirements of the Internal Reveneue Service within themeaning of IRS Code Sec. 501 (c) (3).
The purpose of the Augusta Technical College Foundation is to support Augusta Technical College's mission of offering programs and services that enhance student and community success through the attainment of technical certificates of credit, diplomas, associate degrees, customized training, noncredit continuing education and adult education. The College supports the economic development of its five county region by focuisng on teaching and learning and developing an experience for career development.
The Foundation functions as a development organization to receive charitable contributions for the improvement of Augusta Technical College. The foundation provides assuranc to thos eocnisdering gifts to the college that the assets held will be kept separate from public funds, will be invested in a prudent manner and will only be used as directed by the donor.
The Foundation Board of Trustees is vested with the responsibilty of the management of all affairs, property and business of the foundation. The Board also provides broad advice, consultation, and support to the President of the College, as well as serving as an ambassador for the College and its Foundation in the community.
Augusta Technical College's mission is to raise and appropriate resources that will support the College in carrying out its mission of excllence in workforce education that leads to the career advancement of their students.
