Reading to Go Places Inc (DBA the Bookmobile)

Mission: to increase literacy by increasing access to books and information. We want all children to be proficient readers by the end of the third grade. We take books into low-income neighborhoods via our mobile library "the Bookmobile." We also encourage families to build their own home libraries by giving each child a book to keep each time we see them. We strive to increase shared reading among families with young children. Our programs educate parents on how to create language-rich home environments. We model effective reading aloud and other language development strategies with families.
