Love Grows Here: Loving through Christ, Becoming Disciples, Serving All

Heritage Presbyterian Church lives out its commitment to serve the community as part of Christ’s call to “love your neighbor” through hands on mission.  At HPC members and friends learn to be Christ disciples through love and service. 

The Jay Weaver Emergency Food Pantry provides groceries (pantry items, frozen meats, and bread and sweets) and hygiene items year round through twice a month drive through distributions, serving over 400 households each month. Three school pantries serve 9 children in 9 schools in Cherokee County with weekend food and snack bags, extending our outreach to some of the most vulnerable. During the Christmas season, Santa’s Caravan offers support and a happy holiday to more than 200 children from 5 nearby schools and the surrounding area by providing gifts, clothing items, including warm coats, hats and gloves, and food boxes to bridge the gap of free and reduced school lunches during the holiday breaks. Kevin’s Garden shares space on the church grounds for members and neighbors to grow their own food in raised beds.
