This #GivingTuesday, Let’s show our Go Succeed Senior Fellows how much we care. The College Care Give-a-thon will raise money to gift graduating high school seniors with a care package filled with college essentials including: personal hygiene items, school supplies, dorm décor, appliances, and more.

It brings me great delight and pride to introduce you to our organization College Factory, a nonprofit organization based in Athens, GA, dedicated to cultivating a culture of post secondary success. We are focused on preparing high school students to accomplish their post secondary goals. 

Graduation is meant to be a time of excitement for the next chapter in life. Unfortunately for many graduating high school seniors, this can also be a time of great uncertainty caused by improper planning. We aim to help students receive the personal attention and just-in-time guidance needed to ensure their success. Through our Go Succeed Program, coaches help students pursuing post-secondary education with various topics such as goal setting, completing the application process, figuring out which schools students should consider, navigating the financial aid process, reviewing and applying for scholarships, developing resumes, and learning about the social transition to college. 

By pairing high school students with post-secondary mentors through our Go Succeed Program, hosting community workshops and providing ACT and SAT tutoring, College Factory works to build a culture of higher education in the Athens-Clarke County community. Composed of a network of educators and volunteers, College Factory is committed to helping students find the right path along their post-secondary journey.
