Dear Member of the Athens Community,

A clean and aesthetically pleasing community is vital to our citizens and local economy. It impacts businesses, real estate, safety, and most importantly our sense of place. At Keep Athens-Clarke County Beautiful (KACCB), one of our goals is to make certain that Athens continues to be a beautiful city where people are comfortable investing their time and money. For more than 20 years, we have administered outreach programs that have had a direct impact on the quality of life in Athens.  We are continually working on new and creative ways to execute our mission to educate and empower citizens and businesses with the resources to take action as environmental stewards of litter prevention, waste reduction, and beautification.

We are implementing this campaign to gain your interest and support as we continue our long–term plan to beautify the Athens Loop 10. Working in collaboration with the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) and ACC Landscape Management Division, KACCB raises the funds to purchase daffodil bulbs and trees. So far we have planted SEVEN Loop 10 ramps with a total of 163,000 daffodils bulbs and 80 crape myrtles trees. Our quiet but powerful work inspired Mayor and Commission to change the official city flower to the Daffodil! We are proud of our work and want to ask you to be a part of it.

If you are so inclined to join this effort, your tax-deductible contribution will support the Loop 10 Daffodil Project and give us the momentum to fund the 8th Loop 10 ramp and tree planting project next year.

•             A donation of $100 =      500 bulbs

•             A donation of $250 =      1,250 bulbs/2 trees

•             A donation of $500 =      2,500 bulbs/4 trees

•             A donation of $1,000 =  5,000 bulbs/8 trees

We think that beauty is a silent, but powerful force that makes our community safer, heathier, and more livable. We look forward to having you join this local effort to make Athens-Clarke County the most beautiful city it can be.

Sincerely,

Stacee Farrell, Executive Director
